Registration is now open for AgriSearch’s Beef Conference, “Beefing Up Performance – Driving Productivity and Profitability,” taking place on Tuesday 27 January 2026 at the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown, starting at 10.30 am. Kindly sponsored by ABP, Dunbia and Foyle Food Group, this full day conference is aimed at beef farmers and stakeholders across the Northern Ireland beef industry, with a strong focus on practical ways to improve on farm performance, efficiency and long term profitability across a range of beet systems.

Farm Liaison Officers, Jonathan McAleese and Stephen Shanks, have been discussing ways to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with their network of farms as part of the UK Dairy Carbon Network (UK_DCN) project.

AgriSearch is pleased to announce its 2026 Beef Conference, “Beefing Up Performance – Driving Productivity and Profitability,” taking place on Tuesday 27th January 2026 at the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown.

A research-based partnership between Queen’s University Belfast, livestock genetics company, Ai Services and AgriSearch, aims to tackle the issue of vector-borne disease and develop sustainable solutions to minimise their impact on animal and public health. The academic/industry led collaboration is funding a four-year PhD opportunity based at QUB’s School of Biological Sciences, which is open to suitably qualified candidates throughout the UK and Ireland.

AgriSearch is reminding all farmers that applications to participate in the next phase of the GrassCheck Farm Network will close on 19th December.

The farmer funded research body, AgriSearch is inviting forward looking farmers to join its advisory committees and help shape the future of the sector. The successful candidates will be dairy, beef and/or sheep farmers with a track record of implementing best practice on their farms.

AgriSearch invites farmers to visit its stand (EK62) at the Royal Ulster Winter Fair, Eikon Complex, this Thursday to explore its farmer-focused research and innovation programme and share ideas for the future.
