AgriSearch is seeking an agricultural nutritionist or advisory provider to support participating CliBeef farms over a 24-month period, with an anticipated start date of January 2027.

The service will help farmers improve home-grown forage quality, feeding decisions, livestock performance and feed efficiency, while identifying opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions intensity.

What does the contract involve?

The successful provider will deliver:

  • Quarterly farm visits and farm-specific feeding recommendations.

  • Advice on improving silage quality, harvest timing and grassland management.

  • Forage and feed testing, interpretation of results and practical recommendations.

  • Short written reports for farmers and the CliBeef team.

  • Knowledge exchange activities, including farm walks, webinars and workshops in the second year.

Applicants should have relevant training and experience in ruminant nutrition, preferably in beef production systems, alongside practical on-farm advisory experience. Travel across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is required.
