Farmers made up over half of those in attendance—clear evidence of the sector’s commitment to adopting the latest knowledge, technologies, and management approaches to enhance farm efficiency and sustainability.
The conference programme covered a broad range of key topics including genetics, nutrition, animal health, grassland management and wider farm management. Speakers shared practical insights drawn from their own farm businesses as well as their work supporting farmers across Northern Ireland and beyond. Videos of all presentations are now available on the AgriSearch YouTube channel.
Panel sessions generated significant engagement, with a steady stream of questions from the audience throughout the day. Across all discussions, one message consistently emerged: attention to detail and measurement remain fundamental to improving productivity and profitability.
AgriSearch’s Chair Prof. Gerry Boyle commenting on the conference said “It was extremely encouraging to see so many farmers not only in attendance but fully engaged right to the end of the event. The high level of participation in the discussion sessions reflected both the quality of the speakers and the genuine appetite among farmers to learn from practical, evidence‑based experience.
“We would also like to acknowledge the generous support from our sponsors—ABP, Foyle and Dunbia—which helped make the event possible.”
