Results of real relevance to dairy farmers from a wide range of AgriSearch co-funded research projects will be discussed at the upcoming Dairy Innovations 2018 Open Day at AFBI, Hillsborough on Wednesday 6th June 2018.  Tours will depart at regular intervals from 10.30am to 2.30pm.


Topics being discussed include grassland management, winter feeding, zero grazing, heifer rearing, nutrient management, animal health and welfare and beef from the dairy herd.  AgriSearch will have an interactive GrassCheck exhibit within the Grassland focus area where you will have a chance to discuss grassland management issues with GrassCheck pilot farmers


AgriSearch will also have an exhibit within the research village area where you can find out more about AgriSearch’s current research portfolio which include over 20 projects related to dairy farming.

In the interests of biosecurity those attending are asked to wear clean clothing not previously worn while in direct contact with their own animals. Outdoor workboots should not be worn. Protective overalls and footwear will be provided.
