Research results of real relevance to producers will be displayed and discussed on the AgriSearch stand during the Beef NI Expo 2016 event at the King’s Hall Complex Belfast on Saturday 19th November 2016.

 

Last year AgriSearch commissioned a major on-farm research project examining the role of synchronisation in improving the performance of Northern Ireland suckler herds.  This project is being co-funded by the DARD Research Challenge Fund and supported by industry partners Zoetis, Genus and AI Services.

 

At Beef NI Expo 2016 you will be able to speak to AFBI Scientists and the AgriSearch Field Officer who are conducting this trial.

 

AgriSearch’s Livestock Improvement Project Manager Dr. Steven Morrison will also be on the stand to discuss plans for an  integrated data hub and associated initiatives to drive genetic improvement  Results of a recent study on the effect of floor type on the performance, cleanliness and meat quality of growing & finishing dairy origin bulls will also be featured.
